Please keep our recycling sites clean and operational
Although we encourage residences to toss everything in their trash bin, we also have other alternatives to recycle things like flattened cardboard, newspapers, bottles, and more at drop off locations in Roseville. These sites are designated for these recyclable items, not trash. We have noticed some of our recycling drop-off areas being littered with illegal dumping. If you see illegal dumping occurring, please contact us at (916) 774-5780.
Help us keep these sites clean and operational by keeping them trash-free and flattening your cardboard before unloading, as this is a free benefit to Roseville residents.

Where does your trash go after it leaves your home?
Trash and recycling can build up pretty quickly. Thanks to our waste services division, it is picked up, separated, and disposed of properly. But where exactly does it go when it leaves your home?
Annually, our drivers pick up about 130,000 tons of waste and takes it to the Materials Recovery Facility – known as the MRF (pronounced MURF). The MRF receives, separates, and prepares materials to sell for recycling using a combination of equipment and labor.
