Placer moves back into Purple Tier
With COVID-19 cases surging in California, Governor Newsom announced that Placer County along with most other California counties will move backward in the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy reopening framework.
Placer County is now in the purple tier, with increased restrictions now in effect.

A OptumServe COVID-19 testing site is now open at the Maidu Activity Center, 1960 Johnson Ranch Drive.

The decisions regarding closures are based on a combination of information from federal, state and local health officials as well as best practices from California Park & Recreation Society, American Library Association and the National Recreation and Park Association.

COVID-19 safety tips for the holidays

Applications now open for small business and nonprofit grants
To date, Placer County has invested over $9 million this year to help our small businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19. An additional $5 million is available to fund business anchors and our critical nonprofit safety net programs that provide mental health services, food insecurity aid and housing assistance.
Businesses may apply for a Placer Shares Impact Grant through Nov. 20. Nonprofits may apply through Dec. 7.

The Utility Exploration Center is temporarily closed due to Placer County moving into the purple COVID-19 tier. As a result, we have suspended our in-person Home for the Holidays exhibit.

Are your leaves starting to pile up? Let us pick them up. Free curbside leaf pickup is available throughout Roseville through January 15. Help prevent fallen front yard leaves from clogging storm drains.

Independent Redistricting Commission application period is open
Every 10 years, after the U.S. Census, the City of Roseville must re-establish the boundaries for City Council districts.
In 2021, a Roseville Independent Redistricting Commission made up entirely of community members will be formed to establish those district boundaries.
Residents interested in applying for the Commission need to return the application form and Statement of Economic Interests form to the Roseville City Clerk by 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
