Water-saving gardening like mother nature intended

From golden poppies to vibrant redbuds, these brilliant cast-iron perennials and shrubs can tolerate the driest conditions. Even in years with normal rainfall, they save water compared to traditional lawn-based landscaping because they naturally need less moisture year-round to look their best.

In Roseville, we provide several water efficiency services. If you want to ditch your grass, consider our Cash for Grass program, where we rebate customers $1.50 per square foot of turf grass removed and replaced with water-efficient landscape up to $2,000 per address.

Pleasant Grove Boulevard Widening construction update

Watch for construction on the long-planned Pleasant Grove Boulevard Widening Project between Foothills and Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard.

Keep an eye on digital message signs for current work dates and times.

Please slow down and travel with care. Bicyclists are encouraged to use the sidewalk or nearby trail during construction.

Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvements Project update 

Beginning this week, construction is starting on the Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvements Project. These updates will help serve the soccer complex currently under construction. You can expect to see traffic lanes shift and additional construction-related traffic in the area.

Keep an eye on digital message signs for current work dates and times. Please travel with care in the work zone.

Wastewater collection division received statewide accolades

The California Water Environment Association (CWEA) has awarded our wastewater collection division the esteemed Collection System of the Year title. This recognition underscores the division's dedication to excellence in wastewater, characterized by confidence, efficiency and innovation.

A standout accomplishment reflecting this accolade is their project efficiency by demolishing five out-of-service pump stations. Initially budgeted at $2 million, wastewater collections completed the project well under budget, at just $900,000.

Congratulations to our wastewater collection team for their exceptional contributions to our community and ongoing pursuit of excellence!
