The 10,000 square foot Fire Station will house three rotating crews that work 24 hours a day 365 days a year and will include a state of the art station alerting system, energy efficient lighting, and is equipped to operate as a City Rehabilitation Site in the event of an emergency.
The new fire station is strategically located in the center of the West Park Fiddyment Farms neighborhood off of Hayden Parkway. “This neighborhood fire station will serve the community which is why we want the public’s help to determine the name,” said Fire Chief Marcus Reed.
Residents are encouraged to submit their suggestions by April 1st to the City Clerk’s Office in person or by mail at 311 Vernon Street, Roseville 95678.
All Fire Department facilities are named after distinguished members of the Roseville Fire Department and/or community. The criteria is that the person:
1. Must be deceased.
2. Must have made a significant contribution to the Roseville Fire Department and the City of Roseville.
Nomination forms can be found by clicking here. All nominations received that meet the above criteria will be given to the naming committee consisting of two city council members and members of the Fire Department for final selection. Once a name has been selected it will be submitted to City Council for final approval.
A dedication ceremony will be held after the official approval is given by Council.
